AN INTERESTING MEDIEVAL SILVER GILT FINGER RING. A Medieval ring c.13th century, the silver-gilt ring with internal inscription, the outer ring formed to resemble two interlocking zig-zag bands, one band undecorated with a gilded surface, the other decorated with cross hatched line infill and border, also gilded. The gilt internal shank incised in Blackletter 'to 3olk yi al myn hert', perhaps meaning to yoke with all my heart. At the start of the inscription is a symbol perhaps an unbarred A over an annulet, possible an eye beneath a brow. Diameter: 24.44mm, band width: 5.76 mm, thickness: 1.80mm. Weight: 4.92g. PAS registered, ID: DOR-CC7E00.
A wonderful example with good detail and decoration.
