A cased Singer Model 66 Hand Sewing Machine, manufactured circa 1919 at the Clydebank factory, Scotland, as indicated by the 'F' series serial number. The lot includes the black enameled cast iron machine head mounted on a dark-stained wooden base, and its fitted wooden dome carrying case. The machine is heavily decorated with colorful decalcomania consistent with the Egyptian Revival or Sphinx motif style. Visible markings include the brand name SINGER on the arm and the serial number F9190367 on an inlaid plate on the bed. This model is designed for hand operation.
