BOREMAN, Thomas. 'A Description of Three Hundred Animals, viz. Beasts, Birds, Fishes, Serpents and Insects...,' Seventh edition, half leather with marbled boards, staining and bumped, split running through backstrip but holding firm, lacks frontis, red and black printed titlepage, profuse with woodcuts throughout, pp212, some small nibbles and sporadic spotting to an otherwise vg textblock, R. Ware, London, 1753. It appears this may be the third book in a set. Regardless, the number of woodcuts throughout (with many animals being guessed by the artist) makes this an extremely enjoyable work. This copy is in a very good condition, although the tops of some plates have been cut by an overworked binder.
