Laurence Sterne: 'A Sentimental Journey through France and Italy', illustrated Maurice Leloir, London, George Routledge, 1885, limited edition (92/550), 12 full page photogravure plates and 220 sketches from designs by Leloir as called for, large 4to, original pictorial papar covered boards, later rebacked in green cloth and with replenished patterned end papers and paste downs, housed in a custom made matching green cloth portfolio, green silk ribbon ties, leather gilt title label to spine, pictorial design to front cover in gilt depicting the coastline of southern England and the north and west of France, this design creatively gilt titled following the route of the journey of Mr. Yorick, the narrator of the story who is represented to readers as Sterne's barely disguised alter ego.
