BELLARMINE BOTTLE. 8.1ins tall. Standard c. 1650 period shape with flared foot, bulbous body, offset/ tilting neck, rear (restored) handle. Very varied orange peel salt glaze effect. Detailed neck face motif, belly cartouche below. Base wire cut lines. Apart from the restoration this is an absolutely delightful looking example with plenty of character.
