HAGGARD SIR HENRY RIDER. Manuscript letter, Ditchingham House, Jan. 26 1925 to Colonel Rogerson (of Gillesbie, Lockerbie) replying to a letter from Rogerson regarding the sudden death of the author's brother. Haggard recalls being a guest in the regiment mess in Cairo in 1886, comments that Egypt is now "swamped with mobs of American tourists". This was written in the last year of Haggard's life & may be in the hand of an amanuensis but is clearly signed by Haggard himself.
