An Indian Painting Depicting the Weapons of the Mewar Dynasty, 20th Century.

A detailed Indian painting illustrating an extensive array of traditional arms and armour associated with the Mewar dynasty. The composition is arranged in orderly horizontal registers, presenting a wide variety of edged weapons including talwars, khanda swords, daggers, and curved blades, alongside spears, polearms, maces, axes, and shields.

At the centre appears a radiant sun emblem, a significant symbol long associated with the rulers of Mewar, flanked by stylised animal motifs and armour elements. The weapons are rendered with careful attention to form, showing varied blade shapes, distinctive hilts, and decorative details in muted tones of steel-grey and warm ochre.
