A George III silver helmet cream jug, by the Bateman family (Peter, Ann & William Bateman), London 1801, of helmet form with reeded rim, standing on a pedestal with circular spreading foot and square base, engraved with pin struck bands, the body decorated with bright-cut floral garlands displaying a vacant shield-shaped cartouche, with a reeded loop handle, initialled at foot 'PDMP=EQT', 16 cm high, 4.1 ozt.
