WW2 RAF Mk.IIIa Flying Goggles. A fair original pair of the early RAF Mk.III flying goggles as often associated with aircrews during the Battle of Britain. The frames are in good condition retaining their original finish. Perspex lenses with some surface scratches and mild clouding but generally clear. Face cushion is in great condition with leather nose bridge piece in situ. The strap has lost its springs or have disfigured. The leather tab section retains the AM and crown stamp with the 22C stores code. Overall fair condition goggles. The strap although damaged will display well once pulled over a helmet of a display head. Age related soiling and general wear.
