A GEORGE III SILVER SWING-HANDLE SUGAR BASKET
by Hester Bateman, London 1790, pointed oval form with pedestal foot, the ogee bowl decorated with a pierced band between bright-cut engraving. 18cm wide, 6.4 troy ounces exc. glass
A lovely set of crisp and clear marks struck to the underside of the foot. Stands upright and does not rock. The swing handle is ever so slightly misshapen but hinging well. The blue glass liner is in good condition. Engraved with initials on the underside of the foot. In generally very good condition.
