With the Dissolved Monasteries therein contained' Original full leather rebacked, repair to titlepage, clxxvii, 608p, engraved portrait frontispiece of John Weever, five engraved plates of armorial monuments lettered A-E (graphite notes), a very handsome copy in vg condition, W. Tooke, London, 1767. Weever's work is noted for the history and fate of desolated monasteries and the impact of their dissolution on the local communities. The book remains a valuable resource for historians, archaeologists, and researchers studying the funerary customs, religious history, and cultural heritage of Great Britain, Ireland, and the surrounding areas in the time of Charles I.
