Star Lot: Aaron McAfee (Irish, 20th Century). An original lively Aaron McAfee oil on board painting. This piece captures one of McAfee's signature Irish genre scenes, set in a windy rural village. The composition is brought to life with energetic brushstrokes and a vibrant, dynamic colour palette that conveys both movement and atmosphere. Signed lower right. McAfee's work has been offered at auction multiple times with works fetching $230 at Gormleys. Slight loss of paint to canvas and some accretions. Would be an excellent restoration project.
