Mixed antique silver and silver mounted glass tablewares and dressing table pieces
A mixed late Victorian to early 20th century group of domestic silver and silver mounted glass, comprising a tall clear glass bottle with silver cap, a cut glass caster with domed pierced silver top and visible punched hallmarks to the collar, small silver topped glass jars including examples with oval and circular lids, and a selection of small silver tablewares including three footed salts or mustard pots, a pierced pepper caster, a domed lidded trinket or pomade box with radiating fluted decoration, a pierced sugar sifter spoon, a scalloped dish, a repoussé circular dish with classical style medallion, a small circular box or pillbox, a flat server or spatula, and a small brush. Several pieces retain decorative foliate, engraved and pierced ornament, with monogrammed and chased lids present among the glass fittings. The group includes approximately 453.78 grams of weighable silver, with further silver remaining attached to glass rims and mounts. Hallmarks and maker's marks are present, and the lot displays overall tarnish and age related wear consistent with period household use.
