A Pair of KPM Waldenburg Blue and White Porcelain Figurines

More Information

A pair of porcelain figurines produced by Krister Porzellan-Manufaktur (KPM) in Waldenburg, Silesia. The figures represent a Gallant and a Lady dressed in 18th-century courtly fashion. The male figure wears a frock coat with blue floral patterns, a waistcoat, and breeches, carrying a blue tricorn hat under his arm. The female figure is depicted in a coordinating dress featuring a tiered, ruffled front in blue and gold. Both are positioned on decorative rococo-style bases with applied floral elements and gilded highlights. The pieces are decorated with underglaze blue floral motifs and overglaze gilt accents. The underside of the bases displays an underglaze blue factory mark comprising a crown above the letters KPM.

Height: 13 inches.
