A VICTORIAN SILVER MILK JUG & SUGAR BOWL, by Hilliard & Thomason (John Hilliard & John Thomason trading as Hilliard & Thomason), Spencer Street, Birmingham, with date letters 'w' for 1896 & 'x' for 1897. Both pieces are highly decorated with embossed and chased scrolling foliate panels to centre, with flutes below. Dimensions: milk jug: 5cm high x 9.5cm wide; bowl: 8.5cm diameter x 4cm high. Gross weight: 94g / 3.02 troy oz approx. Condition as photographed with small crack to rim of bowl.
