AN 1854 PATTERN GRENADIER GUARDS OFFICER'S SWORD AND SCABBARD BY SMITH OF SAVILLE ROW. With an 82.5 cm slender, tapering, unsharpened blade decorated with George V cypher and crown, battle honours to include South Africa 1899-1902 and Modder River. Marked for E. Smith 5 Boyle St. Saville Row, W. Owners initials R.H.D. The guard with Grenadier Guard's crest, leather mounted grip and leather sword knot and service scabbard. 101 cm. With travelling cover. The initials are attributed to Ronald Hayward Docker of the Grenadier Guards.
Sword in good condition, service scabbard also very nice condition. Travelling cover in two parts.
