A VERY GOOD QUALITY FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE BONHEUR DU HOUR LADIES WRITING DESK, decorated with beautiful inlaid detail throughout, to the top is a raised cabinet topped with a brass gallery rail and mounted with ormolu decorations. Open shelves flank the two-door cabinet to the centre; which has wonderful inlaid panels depicting musical instruments and flowers. The desk base has a scrolling inlaid design and crossbanded edge, over two drawers raised on slender turned & fluted legs all with decorative brass mounts. A beautiful piece of furniture.
