An Indian Mughal Brass Ewer, 18th Century.

A finely cast Indian brass ewer with a flattened pear-shaped body, rising from a foot and tapering into a domed lid with finial. The surface features a bold teardrop-shaped cartouche on each side, filled with elegant floral motifs and leafy arabesques, bordered by scrolling palmettes in relief.

H: Approximately 35cm

Provenance: Private collection from a distinguished W London collector.
