Sandor Apati Abt - Zsolnay - An early 20th Century Jugendstil / Art Nouveau vase with four pulled handles, the shaped body with yellow flowers to the neck leading to stylised clouds, leaves and to the underbelly with pink flowers against a yellow ground, the whole with gilt detailing and gilt linear lines to the handles, applied mark to the base and impressed 6184 23, height 22cm.
There is quite considerable rubbing to the gilding, especially to the neck and to the blue of the clouds. The glaze has run in places so the flowers to the neck have dark blue patches. There are no chips, cracks or restoration
