A ROYAL ARTILLERY 1897 PATTERN SWORD BY WILKINSON. An 1897 Pattern Infantry Officers sword with an 86.5 cm pointed un-sharpened blade with deep fuller and all-over scrolling foliate decoration, Royal Arms, Artillery piece and 'Royal Artillery'. Named for F. Norman Barker. Marked to the ricasso 'Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd London'. With a three-quarter basket hilt with turned down inner edge and pierced scrolling decoration with George VI monogram. Numbered to the back of the blade 55878. 102 cm.
Scuffing and light rust. Lacking scabbard.
