An unusually sculptural, very 3D, full figure of a male & female dancing the new craze Polka ((c. 1830, a Prague dancer introduced it to the Paris scene in 1840). Base very boldly impressed J STIFF/ HIGH ST/ LAMBETH. Remains one the most elusive of reform flasks to acquire, especially in such top condition (only the second undamaged example recorded).
