A CORAL AND GOLD NECKLACE, CIRCA 1970 Of torsade design, set with eight strands of red and angel's skin coral beads, united by a bi-coloured 18K gold bombé clasp decorated with ropetwist detailing enclosing a brushed white gold panel, length approximately 43cm (when twisted), 46cm (straight) **Prospective buyers are advised that several countries prohibit the importation of items containing materials from endangered species, such as coral. Red coral: of orangy-red hue, medium tone, overall well matched in colour, good lustre Pink coral: of light whitish-light pink hue, some pink patches on somes, overall well matched in colour and good lustre Clasp: white and yellow metal unmarked, tested by the jewellery department to be 18K gold, closes securely and has a safety catch It is always advised to restring pearls or beads bought at auction for precaution, however the threads on these strands look strong Minor signs of wear, overall in good condition Clasp alone, very approximately 32g total Total gross weight approx. 189g
