£3,000
Early to mid 19th century violin, probably English, the two piece back of faint medium curl with similar wood to the sides, the head of plainish wood, the table of a fine width grain slightly widening to the flanks and the varnish of a golden-brown colour, 14", 35.60cm
The mark on the upper treble bout on the table looks like it has always been in the wood and not a repair, the table is very slightly opening on the seam and the scroll could be odd, otherwise appear in reasonable condition for age, see images for guidance, personal viewing always advised when possible
