A rare late 19th century Edward Todd dip pen in case with gold plated grip and 14ct gold nib, the nib marked Edward Todd & Co, New York, 6, not marked for gold but XRF tested as 14ct gold, in original leather covered case, a very similar pen, in what appears to be the original and very similar case, is part of the collection at Longfellow House in the US: Longfellow House-Washington's Headquarters National Historic Site preserves the home of Henry W. Longfellow, one of the world’s foremost 19th century poets
