Ancient Greek: King Patraos of Paeonia silver Tetradrachm, 340-315 BC. Laureate hd. of Apollo r. / Paonian horseman galloping r., spearing fallen Macedonian warrior. 12.5g. Lightly toned EF, a nice example. Paeonia corresponds roughly to today's North Macedonia, and was an independent state neighbouring Macedonia. They provided cavalry and troops under duress for Philip and Alexander the Great's armies.
