A PURPLE VELVET POUCH WITH METALLIC EMBROIDERY, OTTOMAN, 19TH CENTURY
The front panel is decorated with elaborate hand-worked metallic bullion embroidery in silver and gold tones. The central decorative motif features a vertical floral sprig with textured leaves and blossoms, enclosed within a frame of ornate C-scrolls and foliate elements. Both panels are finished along the perimeter with a coordinating twisted metallic cord. The base material is a purple velvet.
