A near pair of Chinese porcelain famille rose 'Quail' plates, 18th century, each shallow circular plated decorated with two quail and peony sprays, with a geometric border, 22.5cm and 22.7cm diameter (2)

Each plate with small chips to the rim. One plate with stained rim descending hairline crack, the other with a clear hairline crack. Pitting to each plate present. Some signs of surface and decoration wear.
