A Regency Period mahogany cased 8-day striking longcase clock by Robert Halliday of Kirkcudbright, the hood with scrolled broken pediment, turned finial and reeded pilasters, the painted dial depicting a bucolic scene of a shepherd and his flock, enclosed by Scottish thistle spandrels, the trunk with inlaid door flanked by reeded quarter columns, on a plinth base with ogee supports. Dial measures 13”. Total height 7’3” (222cm). Includes pendulum, both weights, winding key and case key.
