A Chinese blanc de chine teapot and cover, 18th century, the globular octagonal shaped teapot with prunus blossom relief decoration, and white metal mounts, 10cm high

More Information

The teapot shows pits and frits, glazing faults and surface wear throughout. The spout is fitted adjacent to an unglazed area, possibly the originally cut but off-centre spout location that was then corrected at the time of manufacture. The spout itself is loose and has further worn away the surrounding glazed finish. The metal mounts show tarnishing throughout.
