TWO OTTOMAN BALKANS WHITE METAL BELTS, 18TH - 19TH CENTURY

Consists of overlapping scale-like plates mounted onto fabric backings, bordered by rows of small decorative repousse bosses. The top belt features a large, ornate trilobed buckle decorated with floral scrollwork and a central red bead, possibly coral, set against a red textile lining. The bottom belt is fitted with a buckle featuring a central medallion and is mounted on a plain fabric backing.
