A 19th century Dieppe carved ivory crozier, thought to be a copy of a 13th century example, and profusely decorated with foliate scrolls, Gothic motifs, scenes from the Life of Christ and the Apostles and a coat of arms centred with cart wheels and rampant leopards, length 46in.

CONDITION: Of a light caramel colour but for one ivory joint at the top and the light ivory ferule to the base, old cracks running inside the top scroll and one or two minor dents elsewhere, a hairline crack running to the upper left of the central armorial but overall looks to be in very good condition.
