Attractive Celtic Ilustration: Eriu, Banba, Inis-Fail, Inis-Ealga, Fodhla, Scota, Ierna, Hibernia, Moira, Juverna - Eire. This elaborate illustration is in black ink on a cream background, approx. 35cms x 30cms, c. 1922, and with original signature in ink, black frame.
* Manuscript note n reverse by Mia Cranwill, 'It is a piece of Art O'Murnahan's work entirely by brush, (no ruling). He did it as a counter act to the brutalities of the Black & Tans during the time they were active in Ireland. Copies were made of this, smaller in size, but this is the original which I bought from him.' Signed by Mia Cranwill. Rare. (1)
