A scarce WW1 American trench periscope, comprising a hollow wooden case 37 x 5.5 x 5cms secured by 7 twisted copper wires each inset into the woodwork and retaining traces of original dark green paint, a pair of mirrors (silvering worn), a folding iron belt hook, and a swivel wooden stake to secure the unit. Good authentic condition, a few minor chips to wood, paint well-worn overall.
