VERY RARE 1st-TYPE SERIF "REGISTERED" WITH 1d RED; 1878-1950 collection of used Registered Envelopes (all QV-KGV, plus 4 different KGVI types) with wide variety of types and usages; inc. 11 Jan. 1879 usage of the small 1st-Type (serif boxed "REGISTERED" on the front) with 1d Red tied by Stonehouse (Devon) Numeral, very early usage (31 Jan. 1878) sanserif "REGISTERED" type (stains) with 1d Red tied by Spalding Duplex, v. large QV type )(spots) with 1d Red + ½d Rose-red tied by blue Liverpool "466" Numerals, 1902 QV env. to India (uprated with KEVII 1d's) with scarce 'anonymous' regd.
