A finely painted oil on board depicting illuminated manuscript-style scenes from the Golden Haggadah (Catalonia, c.1320), showing The Crossing of the Red Sea and The Departure from Egypt and the Pursuit by Pharaoh’s Army.
The artist faithfully emulates medieval Hebrew manuscript conventions, with Hebrew text panels, geometric borders, and vivid lapis-blue, vermilion, and gold-toned pigments.
Presented in an ornate gilt moulded frame.
