An English late 19th/early 20th century hand painted satinwood pedestal writing desk of small proportions. The desk a painted top with central cartouche depicting a mythological scene with floral and foliate swags surrounding. Full-length drawer below flanked by banks of three drawers, all decorated with floral garlands and swags. Kneehole single door cupboard space, all raised on bracket feet. The sides are further hand painted with more cartouches and decorative swags.
