A SET OF FIVE MOUNTED CHILDREN’S BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS BY HELEB STRATTON, includes scenes from Rumpelstiltskin, The Goose Girl & Roland and May Bird. Beautiful colour illustration which were first created by Helen Stratton (1867-1961). More about the artist: Born in India in 1867 the artist moved to Bath with her family soon afterwards. She would go on to attend art school in Kensington London, and became a follower of the Art Nouveau style, which can be seen throughout her illustrations. One of her biggest commissions was to create over 400 drawings for The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Anderson published by George Newnes. Each of these mounted book illustrations are in a 39.5 x 30cm mount.
