A FINE LONG BLADED JANBIYYA AND SCABBARD. A Janbiyya having a 37 cm curved blade with shallow fullers and repeated circular decoration towards the hilt. The hilt and scabbard with decorated white-metal mounts and bold round-headed fixings. 55 cm. "Janbiyya originate from both Hijaz and Asir Arabia. Bani Malik and Bani Shahr are both Arabia tribes that favoured this form.
Some light scuffing and rubbing to surfaces. Collection number.
