the ivory scale marks for Ramsden's engine and divided to 100°, maker's plate signed as per title, threaded bone-capped pencil, brass index arm, pinhole sights, removable shades and note plate, contained within stepped keystone case, the lid painted with a male portrait and an architectural scene, and internally with a portrait of a lady and a fire, possibly the owner and his wife and the Bridgwater canal -- 17in.
