The screws to open the capsule area are incredibly tight and we do not want to force them just in case they snap. They have either seized or, they have never been opened. In regards to the latter, we could speculate the capsules are original however this is purely that. Speculation.
Whilst we can only assume that this mic is working, we have been advised by a local studio consultant that it would be unwise to test these units without the presence of a proper tech testing the PSU and generally looking them over first due to the volatile nature of these kind of mics. The mic has come from a very good source and the same studio as all the other condenser mics. This is a deceased estate of a gentleman that invested money into his high end home studio. All of the equipment has been very well looked after. The mic itself is aesthetically ok with some marks to the casing, but considering it age appear acceptable.
