A rare early wax head doll, probably French, mid nineteenth century, the nicely moulded head with inset blue glass eyes, painted mouth and rouged cheeks, short brown wig and on a stiff cloth body, wearing all original peasant style patterned dress with shawl, apron, underclothes, leather shoes and a lace bonnet, holding a handkerchief in right hand, 7" (18cm) tall, in a wooden box, (good).
