A RARE IRISH – LIMERICK – GEORGE III SILVER SERVING SPOON, by Maurice Fitzgerald c.1785. The handle with intricate bright cut engraving, featuring central cartouche engraved with family coat of arms with fleur de lis above, with delicate borders. Hallmarked and engraved with monogram to reverse. The handle with downturned terminal. Limerick silver is very rare, and this is a very good example. Dimensions: 25.5cm long. Weight: 2.5ozt approx.
