A pair of biscuit pottery horse heads probably by Eric Leaper. Height 18cm. These were with the collection of biscuit Troika, we understand that there was some collaboration between the Newlyn potteries at times, and some spare kiln space may have been used as a favour for Eric. Bought from a storage barn in Carnyorth in the '80s by Peter Swanson. The following is taken from Ben Harris's and Lawrence Illsey's book 'troika 63-83' page 162. "Leslie was desperate for money and also sold all the unglazed biscuit ware that was left" "Some were put into storage in a barn at Carnyorth but disappeared when a mineshaft opened, swallowing half the barn and moulds."
