A Chinese 'Hares Fur' teabowl, Southern Song Dynasty The deep rounded sides are covered inside and out with a thick, lustrous black glaze finely streaked with silvery-brown 'hare's fur' markings and pooling above the foot to reveal the buff ware fired to a brown colour, 8.3cm dia., together with a small Yue Yao type ash-glazed water pot, 5cm high. (2) English private collection, the property of a gentleman.
