A late 19th Century French pinfire double-barrelled side-by-side under-lever sporting gun, with 30" (76cm) damascus barrels, the top rib inscribed Canon E (?) Bernard (possibly Emile or Eugène, Liège), with bead fore-sight, foliate-engraved steel lock plates and flat-fronted trigger guard, walnut stock with chequered grip, iron swivels for sling, and iron heel plate, (a/f), 117cm long overall; together with a 19th Century Continental double-barrelled side-by-side percussion sporting gun, possibly French or Belgian, the 29½" (75cm) damascus barrels with bead fore-sight, foliate-engraved steel lockplate, hammers and trigger guard, the stock ornately carved with lion masks and foliate cheekpiece, with chequered grip and fore-end, iron swivels for sling, iron heel plate and wooden ramrod, (a/f), approx. 115cm long overall.
