This work consists of six main parts with their own separate pagination, three of which have their own title-page with the 1668 date. This copy includes the 24pp Life of Crowley by Thomas Sprat and thereare errata notes on last page in volume. The remaining five main parts with sepatate pagination are: Miscellanies, The mistress (with t-p), Pindarique odes (with t-p), Davideis (with t-p), and Verses written on several occasions. The last section includes A proposition for the advancement of experimental philosophy, A discourse by way of Vision, concerning the government of Oliver Cromwell, and Several discourses by way of essays in verse and prose. Engraved frontis portrait, head-pieces, and ornate initial letters.

Condition: toned, some browning, heavier in parts. Ink annotation to head of title. In full calf, re-backed. 300mm x 210mm.
