An early/mid 20th century Chinese rectangular hardwood box and cover: the hinged lid profusely carved in very high relief with two dragons flanking, smaller central 'crowned' dragon-like beast with keyfret moulding, the sides and ends similarly carved in low relief with further dragons and shou characters, compartmentalised interior with lift-out tray (some damage and losses) (28.25cm wide x 18cm deep x 12.5cm high including carving)
