A 19th century Royal Polytechnic 'Admiral Fitzroy' oak cased barometer by Joseph Davis & Co. The case carved with a pediment enclosing a large printed card circular dial, a large glass tube running down to the trunk with an open well of mercury, to brass hands and sliding brass pointers and a pair of ivorine turning knobs, the glazed trunk with the original card labels with Admiral Fitzroy's comments and a wine thermometer, height 104cm
