The Last Phase', by inlaying and extending the works from three octavo to twenty-eight folio volumes with engravings, portraits, manuscripts, autograph letters, etc. over a period of four years. This monumental work was bought by George Nathaniel Curzon, Marquess Curzon of Kedleston at the auction of Broadley’s library held in four sales between 1916 and 1918, and Curzon later bequeathed the set to the Bodleian Library, Oxford. Footnote Two - Alfred Brewis was a shipowner in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
