A JUMMOO AND KASHMIR MEDAL 1895 WITH CHITRAL 1895 CLASP TO THE 6th KASHMIR LIGHT INFANTRY. A Jummoo and Kahmir medal with Chitral 1895 clasp named to 881 Sepoy Manorth 6th Kashmir L.I.' The reverse if the clasp stamped 'Gurney London'. The 6th Kashmir Light Infantry were disbanded in 1896, at this time they had a strength of about 625 men. This medal was awarded by the Maharajah of Jummoo and Kahmir upon his native troops who took part in the defence and relief of Chitral in 1895. Provenance Noonans 2019.
